Growing up in Bergen County in the Town of Lyndhurst, NJ, Jason Sarnoski learned the value of hard work from a young age. As the son of a Police Officer and a catholic schoolteacher, Jason watched his father work side jobs as a carpenter to provide for his family. Like many families in the district, Jason has felt that struggle in his own life. He knows how hard it is to make ends meet, and what it’s like to live paycheck to paycheck to provide for his family. He’s running for Congress, to make it easier for middle class families in New Jersey
As a Warren County Freeholder, Jason has done incredible work balancing the budget, reducing county debt and lowering taxes. Over the past seven years, Jason has worked to reduce the county budget to its lowest overall level in more than a decade and has cut the size of county government. Using his engineering background, Jason has completed a number of capital projects that have been stagnant for decades, while simultaneously reducing county debt to near zero. In addition to fiscal achievements, Jason established the Warren County Economic Development Committee to drive business to the county and founded the Warren County Heroin and Opioid Awareness Task Force to fight addiction in our community.
